MASCOUTAH • Inside the 35-degree North Bay Produce warehouse at MidAmerica Airport last week, bundled-up workers unpacked blackberries harvested in Mexico less than two days earlier, pulling out the less-desirable fruit and placing the good berries into containers ready to be shipped to grocery stores.
