“The Federal Aviation Administration on Tuesday said it is awarding a nearly $7.1 million grant to St. Louis Lambert International Airport to fund the reconstruction of one of the airport’s taxiways.
But unlike previous years, the city-owned airport won’t be required to match a portion of the funds to cover the project’s entire cost.
Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge, the airport’s director, said federal grants typically cover 75% of the needed cost for a project, with the recipient required to cover the rest. But projects receiving federal grants in fiscal 2020 will also receive CARES Act funds to cover the total cost of the work, she said…”
