Green Street Development said Tuesday it is pursuing an $18.6 million trucking facility in St. Louis’ North Riverfront neighborhood, and a city panel said it would assist via a bond transaction.
The 70,000-square-foot facility would be located on 15 acres south of Love’s Travel Stop, along North Broadway between East Athlone and East Clarence avenues, said Nicole Blumner, Green Street’s vice president of development.
She said the project, for an unnamed trucking firm, would retain 65 full-time jobs and create another 23 jobs, plus 140 construction jobs. “And really transform this area of Broadway, a highly visible site from” Interstate 70, Blumner said.
